Jill McGannon
Jill Schultz McGannon completed her BFA and MFA from the University of Georgia in 1985 and 1988, and has worked full-time as an artist for 35 years. Her plein air and large-scale studio paintings can be seen in several gallerie sin the south. She paints in oils in a painterly realistic style, preferring to work from life whenever possible. She started painting plein air in Cortona, Italy in 1995 when she was Artist in Residence on the UGA Studies Abroad Program. Upon returning home, she continued painting plein air. Pinkney Island has become one of her favorite places to paint over the last 10 years.
